i have no idea why, but bad luck seems to find me no matter how hard i try to get away from it. These are some of the things I do (besides reading the Bible which is a given) to keep myself from staying down.
1. eat expensive chocolate. (My favorite is the Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Squares)
2. bubble baths
3. buy rain gear and imagine how awesome it will be to jump into puddles when it actually does rain
4. call my mom and dad just to tell them how much I love them (my brother might get a text)
5. give myself a pedicure/manicure (no black nail polish allowed)
6. sit in my heated bed and watch countless episodes of Sex and the City
7. avoid the mirror
8. go to the park with someone you cant live without
9. talk about and remember funny instances with a bunch of my close friends
10. && dance like a wild chimpanzee until I run out of breath

identity crisis
i realized that our generation is more fond of updating our status on twitter, leaving comments on our friends facebook wall, and watching the newest most popular youtube clip of the week than spending a little bit of time with God.
we try so hard to use these outlets to express our emotions, and creativity for the world to see.
Why is it that we are so eager to show each other how good we look in our new haircut but cant seem to share with our friends what we learned that day or week about God? why is it that we cant seem to mold ourselves to be more holy but find it so easy to be more like our favorite celebrity? && why are we so concerned about looking beautiful on the outside rather than trying to cleanse ourselves from the dirty thoughts and actions that taint us from within?
i wish our generation of Christians would understand that God does not care how trendy/stylish our look is, or how perfect and splinter free our hair is, or even how economically friendly we are. God probably doesnt even wear clothes. -_- either way, i feel that our generation just cares a little TOO MUCH. (including me) im writing about this because i use to be the one to frown upon people who spent hours at a time looking at clothes and now i have become the very person i didnt want to be. i dont want to say having a passion for good clothes isnt bad, im just say, LOVE GOD FIRST. dont check the gossip collumn or the photography blog before you do your quiet time with God. because if you do, you are choosing something before God, making it your idol.
im ranting, i know.
i didnt want this blog to be this way, but you know what? its my blog i do it my way
i watched a short series of nooma by Rob Bell titled rain.
it answered so many of the questions that boggled my mind for some time.
how are we set apart from those that do not believe?
how do we as Christians stand out?
what is Gods role during our time of suffering?
besides being molded what other good can come from such challenges?
all of these questions are easily answered by rain.
-Matthew 7:24-27
when Christians face trials, we run to God our father. and its times like these that God cherishes because God hears the cries of his children. Never regret or condemn God for the hardships we face or have faced in the past because those were the times we shared the most intimate, vulnerable moments with the creator of all things.
remember, you are not a twitface, you are a child of God

The Wise and Foolish Builders
24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."-Matthew 7:24-27

because eating it just doesnt cut it anymore
today's show: bacon lovin' pt.1
while girls my age are obsessed with scents such as Chanel No. 5, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, or Victoria Secret's Love Spell, i have grown to appreciate the smell that gets me salivating, Bacon.. by Pigs.
i thought i was pretty informed about the many products dedicated to bacon.. but i was wrong.
for starters there is bacon flavored coffee, ice cream, gum, chocolate, beer, toothpick, dog treats, salt, chips, and lollipop. but as we all know, obsessed people are scary and they will do anything in there power to get what they want.
here is the list of things i want for Christmas.
#1 bacon flavored vodka
because the bacon flavored beer wasn't enough to get you drunk
#2 bacon scarf
to keep me warm and looking delicious
#3 Gummy Bacon
i love how it says "strawberry flavor" on the box
#4 bacon floss
so you can floss the crap out of your teeth until it bleeds bacon flavor
#5 bacon water
a dog's vitamin water
#6 Bacon bandages

#7 Bacon air fresheners for cars

#8 Diet Coke with bacon
now i just wait patiently for Dr. Pepper with Bacon :)
#10 Bacon Mayonnaise

i was kidding about wanting these for Christmas. kind of.
pt.2 coming soon!

oh the wonders
today's episode of my life is on plastic surgery

why?
because my mom said i should&& because my dad said i should.
that's right.. i admit. my parents are messed up.
or.. im just really ugly.
...I'd rather believe that my parents are messed up.
this girl is from the Korean movie 300lb beauty. She played a fat, ugly, insecure girl that becomes an instant star after going under the knife.
might as well have been based on a true story because her picture before she had her surgery was..
frekk im so messed up.
so what is it about plastic surgery that is so appealing that 2/3 girls and 1/5 guys in korea are willing to go under the knife?
its probably because of results like these. after 3 months of swelling you'll look HOTT..er
i don't know why im so against doing it. most girls in Korea ask for it on their 18th birthday.
the scary part is that you are not guaranteed to look beautiful or even better after the surgery. it could change the way you look FOREVER. there is no backspace or delete button for plastic surgery. i just think it would suck always because you will always know that what God gave you wasn't good enough. && if after dating and some guy falls for you and you fall for him there will always be that moment you have to tell him that the face he fell for wasn't the face you were born with.
honestly. i think if i had a guarantee that I'd look a whole lot better after the surgery i think I'd do it. who doesn't want to be beautiful? &&what if by doing plastic surgery, the person that would have loved me for the old me passes by me because i look just like any other girl with the perfect nose and perfect double eyelid? i would always think that i'm only loved because of who i look like and not who i am.
i dont want to bother with photoshop, so i decided to use photobooth to "enhance" my shortcomings.

if i had ripped the side of my eyes and had double eyelid surgery:

&& if i had angelina's lips
WHO WANTS TO MARRY ME NOW?

why?
